Grace: Part 3

Following God’s Lead

Acts 16

There are times in our lives when we just know that God is leading us.

But one thing is sure, where God leads he equips.

He can and will do incredible things in and through you

Paul is given a vision that radically changes the course of his life and history itself.

  • We are going one way, and he leads into another
  • That new path brings about changes that are hard
  • The unknown takes control of your thoughts and feelings
  • You feel totally out of control
  • This change just might be too much for you

Change: replace (something) with something else, especially something of the same kind that is newer or better; substitute one thing for (another).

God isn’t going to leave you or abandon you to nothing.

  • He might just have something much better for you

Through his power and guidance, wonderful things can happen.

  • Even the ones that might cause us much grief and pain
  • God never promised us happiness
  • He never said that life was going to go along just fine…all the time
    • Life is not always easy
    • It doesn’t always make sense
    • Sometimes life is just life

Pain is the indication that life is real.

  • It means that you are in touch with the truth.

Grief is the mechanism by which we learn to count upon God’s grace.

  • It means that God’s power is working in our lives.

Read: Acts 16:6-10 NIV

This passage is known as the Macedonian call.

  • Paul was lead or called by God to preach in an unknown area

Paul saw the souls of men to be more important than his own protection or security.

  • When God places a call upon your life, he will send you into areas that might be unknown to you
  • You might not know exactly what to do
  • Your life will feel upside down
  • Trust becomes your closes friend
  • Fear becomes your mortal enemy

Will you trust that God has his best for you?

Always be ready for opposition from the devil.
