Proverbs 14:16 TLB “A wise man (person) is cautious and avoids danger (evil); a fool plunges ahead (is hotheaded) with great confidence (reckless).”
Proverbs 14:26 TLB “Reverence (fear) for God gives a man deep strength (a secure fortress); his children have a place of refuge and security.”
- NCV “Those who respect the LORD will have security, and their children will be protected.”
Proverbs 16:6 NIV “Through love and faithfulness sin is atoned for; through the fear of the LORD a man avoids evil.”
- ERV “Faithful love and loyalty will remove your guilt. Respect the LORD, and you will stay far away from evil.”
Thought: What do you think of when I say, “A holy fear of God will help you to stay away from evil?”
Fear of God is a good wisdom to have.
- It will help you have healthy boundaries
- It will send out the alarms to your heart and mind that you are getting close to being on the wrong side of truth
- We need wise, godly men to stand up for righteousness and holiness
- We need wise, godly Fathers who will protect their families from the lies of this world
- We need wise, godly men to be men of God
- Loving
- Caring
- Guiding
- Protecting
- Standing up for what is right
- Speaking out against what is wrong
Yes, we need to be humble
- Humility doesn’t mean we don’t fight for what is right
Yes, we need to be compassionate
- But compassion is emotional power under control
Yes, we need to be accepting of others
- But being accepting doesn’t mean we compromise biblical truths
Note: Romans 12:9-21 NIV
Man of God, it is time to stand up to the evil that is destroying our families, our country, and our world.

The absence of godly men in our nation is painfully obvious, as are the consequences of their absence. Family breakdown, the mistreatment of women, neglect of children, the rise of pornography, and the normalizing of sexual brokenness are fruits of the same poisonous fruit.
Gentlemen:
- Now is the time
- Pray for a moving of God in your own heart
- Pray for the man next to you
- Pray for the men that you share your life with
- Pray for your spouse
- Pray for your children
And most of all, pray that God will empower us men to be godly, holy, righteous, and committed to being an example of the power and love of God.
Proverbs 21:21 NIV “He who pursues righteousness and love finds life, prosperity, and honor.”
